Omega also performs occupational health testing at client sites. Services include pulmonary function, EKG, vision, respirator fit testing, chest x-ray and audiometry by certified occupational hearing conservationists and lab studies.

FIT TESTING

For those employers who are required to provide their employees with respirators for protection during specific job functions, in accordance with OSHA requirements, Omega offers Fit Testing either at our site or the employer’s. In accordance with OSHA regulations, employers are required to perform one fit test per year on employees who wear respirators.

Omega Medical Center provides State-of-the-Art Quantitative Fit Testing in accordance with the OSHA 1998 Respiratory Protection Standard. Quantitative testing eliminates subjectivity in that it is not affected by the person’s sense of smell, taste or sensitivity to irritant chemicals.
